Today’s Monday Mindset: How to Build Trust
Do you want to be somebody who’s highly trusted by others?
Here’s three things you can do so that others consider you highly trustworthy.
The first is to tell the truth. Let your word be your word that builds trust.
The second is to follow through on the things you say you’re going to do. Be dependable and reliable. That builds trust.
And the third is to have other people’s backs. Whether it’s your friends, your teammates, your coworkers, have their back. What does it look like to have somebody’s back? You don’t let anybody else talk badly about somebody else in your presence, and you don’t talk badly about anybody else. That conveys to others that you have their backs, that you’re quick to defend somebody. You’ve got their back.
Do those three things and you will build enormous trust with others.
That’s my challenge and that’s your Monday Mindset.
