Just Ask

Today’s Monday Mindset: Just Ask
Just about to catch a flight to take my mom to the theatre as a Christmas present.
And when we got to the customs line, it was probably 45 to 60 minutes long. And I thought, oh man.
I found a security guard and said, my mom’s over 80. Any chance there might be another way we can do this or an alternative line? And he immediately took us to the very front — just like that, we were through.
My mom taught me this: you don’t receive if you don’t ask. It never hurts to ask, and a lot of times people are too fearful or scared.
You don’t receive if you don’t ask.
What will somebody think — that we’re embarrassed to ask? My family knows me as an audacious asker.
There’s almost nothing I won’t ask for, because somebody can’t help you if you don’t make your requests and desires known.
So here’s my challenge.
Get a little bolder and make your requests or desires known.
The worst that can happen is somebody can say no. So challenge yourself. Stretch yourself.
Just ask.
That’s my challenge and that’s your Monday Mindset.
