  • Today’s Monday Mindset: Life Is Short

Over the past 10 days, I’ve attended two different funerals, and I was reminded that life is short.

While the days and weeks can sometimes seem really long, the months and years tend to fly by.

Whether you’re eight years old or 80 years old, none of us know how long we’re going to live. So why not live each day like it’s your last?

By asking this question – how do I want to be remembered?

If you ask yourself that question, you’ll live each day as if it matters, because it really does.

What matters most is not the things you accomplish.

Going after things that you want to accomplish or achieve in life is great, but what will really matter in the end when your life is done is those that you’ve touched and impacted through your words, through your helpfulness, through your willingness to go the extra mile for someone, for your words of encouragement, for the way that you’ve touched people, for how you’ve chosen to live your life.

So remind yourself that life is short, and ask yourself each day, how do I want to be remembered? And then live that out that day.

That’s my challenge and that’s your Monday Mindset.
