  • Today’s Monday Mindset: Next One

I’m on a surf trip with some friends for my 50th birthday, and yesterday the waves just pounded us.

Every time I’m trying to get up and then back down and then just in the washer, getting spun under the water until you finally get back up.

And then what do you do? Well, you paddle back out and you do it all over again. And that just happened over and over again. And the key to learning how to surf or learning how to do anything in life is to have a next one mentality.

And that next one mentality was approaching the next wave with the same level of enthusiasm, the same level of focus, the same level of passion as I did the last one.

So my challenge to you is to have a next one mentality with anything you’re trying to improve or learn or develop in, because that’s how you eventually accomplish something.

That’s what I’m putting into practice this week. I challenge you to do the same. Next one mentality.

That’s my challenge and that’s your Monday Mindset.
