Pass Fake Like Rondo
There are many insights we can gain from studying phenomenal passers like Rajon Rondo. Join PGC Director Matt McLeod and discover how to become a better playmaker with the use of your fakes today:
Use Your Eyes to Trick the Defense
Most offensive players at lower levels, have slower fakes. If you can intentionally get the defense to move with purpose, react or simply turn their head, you will get your teammate an open shot. By getting the defense to even just follow your eyes, you will create more scoring opportunities for your team.
Use your Obliques
Your obliques are your outside muscles on your core. By engaging your obliques, you will get the defender to react without actually moving your own body.
By using your obliques, you can:
1) Create more opportunities to get the ball to the open player, faster
2) Change angles and make a pocket pass into the paint more efficiently
3) Throw a face-high pass to your teammate
At all of our summer courses, we teach you how to become a better playmaker. Join us this summer and learn how to become a leader, create scoring opportunities, and control your defender with ease.
