Put Them First

Today’s Monday Mindset: Put Them First
I’m walking on Lake Louise, taking in this majestic view in Banff, Alberta. Behind is the famous Fairmont Hotel.
And we decided to go on a hike here with friends but not all of us had the right gear and everyone was willing to, and offering to give up their gear for others.
Isn’t that what you want from a friend, a family member, a teammate, a coworker that they’d be willing to put themselves out to put you first? And isn’t that the type of person that you want to be as well?
I love spending time with friends and my co-workers at PGC, who consistently do that, and it inspires me to do the same for others.
So my challenge to you is to be someone who puts others first. And if you’re not experiencing that around you, then live out what Mahatma Gandhi said, which is: “be the change you want to see”.
And be, even if it means the only one at home that gives up the last piece of apple pie for somebody else, or with friends willing to let somebody else ride shotgun and choose the music and you don’t like, whatever it might be, look for opportunities to put them first.
That’s your best self, showing up every single day. So put that into practice.
That’s my challenge, and that’s your Monday Mindset.
