On honored guests, giving reminders, and struggle.
Nov. 11 | The 3-Point Play
BASKETBALL TIP
When a teammate subs in, treat them like an honored guest.
- Give a high five
- Say, “glad you’re in, we need you!”
- Remind them of any relevant information (time, score, fouls, etc)
Like a good host, make your teammate feel welcome.
They’ll play better & the team will do better.
LEADERSHIP LESSON
Instruct before a mistake is made, not after.
Anyone can tell someone what to do after they’ve messed up.
A true leader anticipates and communicates early.
They give reminders before their teammates need the information.
Instruct before a mistake is made, not after.
LIFE PRINCIPLE
Each person you admire is still a work in progress.
- They’re still seeking improvement.
- They’re still struggling at times.
- They’re still figuring it out.
No one’s perfect. Keep doing your best daily.
