  • Today’s Monday Mindset: Not Yet

We’re here in Atlanta, we just got done a film shoot with two of our PGC directors and I can’t help but think back to a decade ago when I first started filming. Everything was so robotic and forced; it didn’t sound conversational at all.

I really struggled with discouragement, and at times I thought I’m never going to be good at this. But I had to shift to a growth mentality. I’m just not good at this yet.

The most powerful word you can use to keep a growth mentality is to add the word yet.

    I can’t do this yet.
I’m not good at this yet.

Yet speaks to possibility. Yet speaks to potential.

Whatever it is, whether you’re a student in school, whether you’re an athlete in sports, whether you’re in your work career – if you ever find yourself facing discouragement or struggling with something, just add the word yet.

You just haven’t gotten it yet, but you can, and you will with enough focus and enough practice.

Add the word yet to your vocabulary today.

    That’s your Monday Mindset.
