    BASKETBALL TIP
Being violent on the basketball court does not mean getting in fights and throwing elbows on rebounds; it means doing things forcefully and quickly and abruptly.

Things like faking, cutting, darting out on defense, streaking for rebounds, sprinting downcourt on a fast break.

To get your thing done anywhere, you have to learn to do the things you do violently.

Fake like you really are going, move like you really are in a hurry, sprint the way you would if a hive of bees were suddenly on your tail and dart the way you would if you were just about to step on a large, hungry snake.

    LEADERSHIP LESSON
“The leaders who work most effectively, it seems to me, never say “I.” And that’s not because they have trained themselves not to say “I.” They don’t think “I.” They think “we”; they think “team.” They understand their job is to make the team function. They accept responsibility and don’t sidestep it, but “we” gets the credit. This is what creates trust, what enables you to get the task done.”

    ― Peter Drucker

    LIFE PRINCIPLE
“If I miss a goal, which sometimes happens when you set huge ones, I want the reassurance that I did everything in my power to make it happen.

I want the peace in knowing that it wasn’t for lack of hustling that I missed a target for my dream.

I want to know that the one thing under my control was under control.”

    – Jonathan Acuff
