    BASKETBALL TIP
Get into the every-time habit of attempting to block out.

The majority of offensive rebounds are gotten not by clever “hitters and spinners” but by players who simply move to the ball without anyone ever getting in their way and without anyone having made any attempt to get in their way.

The times you let your player get an offensive rebound will very seldom be when they outfake you. Usually, their rebounds will come when you simply forget to block them out at all.

    LEADERSHIP LESSON
“The law is this: the higher you go in leadership, the fewer external forces act upon you and dictate your focus, energy, and direction. Instead you set the terms of engagement and direct your own path, with only the reality of results to push against you.”

    – Henry Cloud

    LIFE PRINCIPLE
“There is tremendous freedom in not believing every thought we have and
understanding that we are the thinker of our thoughts, not the thoughts themselves. Our minds are powerful tools, and if we do not become consciously aware of the disconnection between our authentic selves and our thoughts, we give our thoughts too much control in our daily lives.”

    – Nicole LePera

Players often fail to realize that fouls are errors. Not just because five of them will put you on the bench, but because they allow mediocre players to score points on uncontested 15-foot shots.
