Almost any time you get excessively concerned about individual statistics, you are going to come across as childish and will find yourself ranting and raving over things that do not warrant your attention.

If you find yourself looking carefully at your personal stats to the point where it is making you less a team-oriented player, do an about-face. Quit looking at your stats for a while. Focus on other areas of performance. Change.

Players who put the team first and concentrate primarily on winning are more respected, they usually play better, and they enjoy their lives more.

    LEADERSHIP LESSON
“The day you no longer believe you have something to prove, the day you no longer believe you must give it your all, the day you think you are entitled to special treatment, the day you think all your hard days are behind you, is the day you are no longer the right leader for the job.”

    – William H. McRaven

    LIFE PRINCIPLE
“The face of happiness may be someone who is intensely curious and enthusiastic about learning; it may be someone who is engrossed in plans for his next five years; it may be someone who can distinguish between the things that matter and the things that don’t; it may be someone who looks forward each night to reading to her child.

Some happy people may appear outwardly cheerful or transparently serene, and others are simply busy. In other words, we all have the potential to be happy, each in our own way.”

    – Sonja Lyubomirsky

Players often fail to realize that fouls are errors. Not just because five of them will put you on the bench, but because they allow mediocre players to score points on uncontested 15-foot shots.
