    BASKETBALL TEACHING
The ability to be consistent is what separates a good player from a mediocre one.

Mediocre players are always the ones pointing out the times they do something good. But good players expect to perform certain tasks over and over again routinely.

    And that is called ‘consistency’.

If you want to be good, you must learn to be consistent.

You must develop a ridiculous attention to detail, to doing things right, to making every practice count, to concentrating on every shot.

It’s not easy to be consistent, but that’s what it takes if you want to be “good”.

    ― Dick DeVenzio
    Founder of PGC Basketball

    LIFE LESSON
“We cannot choose how many years we will live, but we can choose how much life those years will have.

We cannot control the beauty of our face, but we can control the expression on it.

We cannot control life’s difficult moments, but we can choose to make life less difficult.

We cannot control the negative atmosphere of the world, but we can control the atmosphere of our minds.”

    – John C. Maxwell

    EDUCATIONAL TIP
Most people make one big mistake when taking notes…

    They take too many.

They spend so much time writing, they don’t really listen.

The art of taking good notes involves two other “arts” not often considered by students:
    1. the art of taking notes that are easy – and fun – to study and recall, and
    2. the art of listening.
