  • Today’s Monday Mindset: Ask More Often

All right. I’m just lying here in the grass, which is one of my favorite things to do. And I have a story for you.

    But this is embarrassing.

In fact, I hate to even admit it but I want to share it because I think it’s going to benefit and serve you.

I have been creating these videos for well over a year and I haven’t added music to the reels I’ve post on Instagram and Facebook. I do two different versions, a horizontal and vertical version every single week. The vertical or shorter versions, I just didn’t know how to add music. I think I tried at one point a year ago, I couldn’t figure it out and I just kind of gave up and moved on. Then one of the guys on our team said, “Mano, why don’t you add music to your shorter videos? You’ve got them for the longer video.”

And I said, “Well, I would, I just don’t know how. I haven’t been able to figure it out.” He said, “When you’re uploading the videos, you just press the Audio button and it’ll give you a selection of songs and just choose one and that’s it.”

I couldn’t believe it. It was that easy.

It was that easy and I hadn’t done it for the past 12 months.

I share all of this simply to say, each of us have things in our lives we don’t bring to life.

We don’t do. We don’t achieve, we don’t accomplish, we don’t go after because we don’t know how.

But chances are somebody you know knows how. It’s just a matter of asking more often. Very few of us take advantage of the people around us, the knowledge around us to be able to bring things to life quicker and to be able to collapse timeframes.

So learn from my mistake, this embarrassing mistake, and put it into practice.

    Ask more often.

I want you to think of something you want to bring to life. If you’re a basketball player and you want to figure out how to get to the next level, somebody else knows how to make that happen. In your career, you want to get to the next level, somebody knows how to make that happen. In your financial world, somebody knows. In your relationships, somebody you know knows how to help you have better relationships or more successful relationships.

Whatever it is in life – all you have to do is think about what you want to improve and then who can help figure. There’s somebody who can. Chances are they can even help you for free and you can collapse timeframes in doing so.

    Put that into practice.

    Ask more often.

    That’s your Monday Mindset.
