Today’s Monday Mindset: Better Than You Found It
A few weeks ago, I was down in Dallas at our PGC Summit, our camp for 32 top Division 1 and pro players.
On the final afternoon, one of the staff members from the college who worked in the cafeteria came up to me and said, “Mano, I just want to thank you for how tremendous your group has been. They’ve been the best group we’ve had on campus, not just this entire year, but maybe ever.”
And I was so touched by that, and he went on to say, “each of your athletes cleaned up after themselves. They wiped their tables down. I mean, there was nothing left for us to do.”
I was humbled to hear that and really encouraged as we teach players at each one of our PGC camps to always leave everything better than you found it.
Because it’s what good leaders do.
Good leaders don’t just clean up after themselves. They clean up after others.
They do not just do their share, but more than their share.
My challenge to you is for you to leave every environment better than you found it.
See if you can make that a habit, that’s my challenge to you, and that’s your Monday Mindset.
