  • Today’s Monday Mindset: Challenge Yourself

I just stepped outside of the building where I’m taking this three hour night course once a week. And it’s unlike anything that I’ve ever done before. I won’t give you details. It’s going to take me 6-12 months to complete the course and all the associated training, and I’ll wait until I’ve finished it to let you know what I’m in the process of doing.

But I can tell you just from the first few weeks, it has been overwhelming at times, the learning, the things that I’m going to need to remember. In addition, there’s just been a built in fear of failure.

What if I’m actually not able to complete this? What if I’m one of the students in the class who doesn’t actually get it done and graduate. I’ve had to just meet that fear failure head on and just decide to go for it.

My challenge to you is to consider not letting yourself just be complacent with things you’ve done, things you’ve accomplished. Instead find new things that are going to stretch you, grow you, give you new experiences, help you accomplish something new, whatever it might be.

Find ways, find things that are going to challenge you.

Just in the same way that this is challenging me.

It’ll make your life more rich. It’ll expand and broaden your horizons along the way. Challenge yourself.

    That’s your Monday Mindset.
