Today’s Monday Mindset: Draw Your Circle Wider
I was at a choir concert recently and they played a final song that was beautiful and it was called Draw the Circle Wider.
I was thinking about it, and that’s what every thoughtful person and good leader does. They draw the circle wider.
My friend Shane does this amazingly well.
Every time we walk into the gym, whether somebody knows him or not, he makes them feel a part of the group. He welcomes them, gives them a high five, sometimes even a hug, even if he doesn’t know them. And everyone just feels like they’re seen and feels like they’re welcome.
I’ve been inspired to do the same.
I want to challenge you to do the same as well.
Go beyond your friend group or beyond what’s comfortable and whoever’s in your environment – can you make them feel welcome, included, and seen.
Draw your circle wider. That’s my challenge and that’s your Monday Mindset.

PGC Basketball provides intense, no-nonsense basketball training for players and coaches. Our basketball camps are designed to teach players of all positions to play smart basketball, be coaches on the court, and be leaders in practices, games and in everyday life.
