Today’s Monday Mindset: How to Avoid a Waterfall
As I take in this gorgeous waterfall here at this New York State Park, I think of the fact that this water came from a tiny stream upstream that became a river, that became this powerful water that you see and hear.
And our habits are the very same way.
They start upstream with some small decision that we make: to watch something, to eat something, to drink something, to try something that might be hurtful for us instead of helping us.
And when we repeat it with enough time, it becomes powerful in our lives.
That’s why we have to choose our habits so carefully.
So I want you to think about one thing today that might seem rather small in your life, but if done with enough frequency over time could actually hurt you.
We all have things, whether it’s for our health or for any other aspect of our lives that could be doing a lot of damage.
Long-term, I encourage you to change your habits today while there’s still a small stream, before they become a mighty flowing river and waterfall.
Choose habits that help you not hurt you. That’s my challenge and that’s your Monday Mindset.
