  • BASKETBALL TIP

Most players, even the ones who usually don’t dribble very much, dribble too much.

Drives to the basket that should involve just one explosive dribble are most often made with two or three. And players stalling or freezing the ball often let themselves be doubled-teamed or fouled because they want to keep pounding the ball to the court instead of quickly passing it off.

For many players, the problem of one extra dribble is the failure to pass at the right time. Analyze your game. Chances are you often take unnecessary dribbles.

    LEADERSHIP LESSON

“People find power when it dawns on them that their true success isn’t rooted in you helping them. It’s grounded in you helping them help themselves.”

    – Bruce D. Schneider

    LIFE PRINCIPLE

“People listen better if they feel that you have understood them. They tend to think that those who understand them are intelligent and sympathetic people whose own opinions may be worth listening to. So if you want the other side to appreciate your interests, begin by demonstrating that you appreciate theirs.”

    – Roger Fisher
