Today’s Monday Mindset: Stay Present
This is an admission here, and I’m not proud of it.
It’s something that I’ve got to work on and I’m working on it each day.
But there’s something that gets in the way from me being able to get better in this area. And it’s this right here… my phone.
Because my biggest challenge is staying present.
It’s easy to stay present for me when I’m out with others, but with my own family members, with things coming at me and coming on my phone, it’s so easy to get distracted and not be fully present.
Here’s my challenge for you… and it’s the challenge that I’m working on! I’m working hard on each day to stay present with others.
The greatest gift you can give to anyone in your life at any time is to be present with them.
And when you’re present with them, you’re saying to them: You matter enough to get my entire focus. I’m not going to be distracted by anything else. I’m here with you.
You’ll make them feel seen, you’ll make them feel heard, and you’ll make them feel valued.
So put this away to be present with others, and in doing so, you’ll show a high level of care for everyone around you. Put that into practice… Be present.
That’s my challenge and that’s your Monday Mindset.
