Today’s Monday Mindset: What’s Limiting You?
Presented by: Mano Watsa, President of PGC Basketball Camps
Why not you?
We all have limiting beliefs that hold us back from achieving our full potential.
I know I did in my basketball career in high school, I had friends, coaches, neighbors that told me I wasn’t big enough. I wasn’t fast enough, I wasn’t talented enough to play at higher levels of play.
And I held onto those limiting beliefs for a period of time.
But then I asked myself the hard questions, is this true? Is it really true?
I realized I was never gonna achieve what I might have been capable of as long as I was holding onto those beliefs.
So I decided to shed them and decided, why not me? And that opened the door to me having a great deal of success in my basketball career.
I’ve identified in my life other areas that I had limiting beliefs on regarding my health, finances, career. And when I shed limiting beliefs, it opened up a world of potential.
So my challenge to you is to identify your own limiting beliefs.
To ask yourself, is it true? Is it really true? And when you realize most of the beliefs you’ve held are not necessarily true, you can realize the same thing.
Why not me? Why can’t this happen to me? I realized I can.
And you can too when you drop your limiting beliefs.
That’s my challenge for you today, and that’s your Monday Mindset.
