  • Today’s Monday Mindset: Star in Your Role

Presented by: Mano Watsa, President of PGC Basketball Camps

Here’s the simplest way to get more of what you want.

If you’re a bench player and you want to get more minutes…

If you’re a player getting minutes and you want to be able to shoot the ball more…

If you want to be the star on the team..

Off the court, if you’re in a job and you want a promotion or a new opportunity…

…the principle is the same star in your role.

If you’re a bench player, be the best bench player you could possibly be.

Be the best player for the team, even if you’re not getting in games.

And if you are getting in the games and you’re a role player and you wish you were a star player, don’t focus your attention on being a star player.

Focus your attention in starring in your role.

The most valuable role you can play on your team is to star in the very role you’re in today.

When you do that, you actually position yourself for a new role tomorrow.

That’s my challenge for you, and it’s a simple one, but a hard one to put into practice.

Be where you’re at and be the best you today that you can possibly be.

    Star in your role.

When you do that, new opportunities will come.

That’s my challenge and that’s your Monday Mindset.
