Today’s Monday Mindset: Turn It Cold
Presented by: Mano Watsa, President of PGC Basketball Camps
You want a simple action to get massive benefits for your body and mind.
Here it is.
Turn the water cold in the last 30 seconds of your shower.
Turn it as cold as you possibly can.
Remember to breathe because the benefits are enormous.
- It’ll increase blood flow in circulation.
- Research shows it increases happiness and reduces depression like feelings.
- You’ll cope with stress better because the stress of the ice cold shower will actually prepare you for the stress of a day in your nervous system. It’ll help you to manage stress.
- It’ll reduce inflammation, especially for athletes. If you find yourself sore or tired after a workout, then have an ice cold shower, not just 30 seconds. See if you can go the entire time because it’ll help reduce inflammation.
- You’ll be building your mental toughness every single time that you do it.
Challenge yourself.
You’ll be amazed at how you feel when you get out of an ice cold shower. You just feel electric and ready to dominate the day.
Put that into practice. Turn it cold.
That’s your Monday Mindset.
